In modern Witchcraft, there is a belief system known as Dualistic Magic that encompasses what is known as the Right Hand Path and the Left Hand Path. The Right Hand Path is the path of light; The Left Hand Path is the path of darkness. Thus, the name of our press was born. We do indeed enjoy all things dark and creepy in our little corner of the world.

Our Beginning
After retiring from my own twenty-year career as an author in 2019, I soon decided that I still wanted to be involved in the literary world in one form or another, just not as an author. I was burnt out on writing. I started thinking about all of the various publishers I’d worked with over the years and realized that I’d never been truly satisfied with any of them. It was out of this dissatisfaction that the idea for Lefthand Path Press was born.
I wanted our press to be different from all the others; to separate ourselves from the tedious herd. But how? The answer to my own question, it turned out, was actually quite simple: Just be decent to people.
Our Philosophy
At Lefthand Path Press, we offer competitive royalty advances to our authors. We treat them like real people who have real lives. We only publish a small number of books per year, so we can dedicate months of time to each of our authors and their projects. We listen to our authors and consider their ideas. We keep our authors in the loop during every step of the publishing process. We don’t leave them wondering.
We offer outstanding communication and author services. We endeavor to provide some of the best interior layout and design as well as front cover artwork available in publishing. We work with some of the best horror and dark fiction artists in the world. We value our authors and artists and treat them with the respect and open communication they deserve. Plain and simple, we go out of our way to be decent and helpful to our authors. We treat them like real people. We genuinely care.
Looking Forward
For us, our experiences with our authors thus far have been outstanding, and it’s been a genuine pleasure working with seasoned veterans and new voices alike. We look to the future with hope and the desire to improve our press every single day. We look forward to eventually becoming one of the finest presses around.
